Important Safety Tips
Avoid fraud by meeting all sellers face-to-face to pay for items. Always meet up in a public place - coffee shop, restaurant, etc.
Carefully inspect all items before paying for them. One4Sale does not offer any escrow or payment services. Nor do we guarantee transactions.
Stick to Thailand-based buyers and sellers. Overseas ads carry a much higher risk of fraud. Always inspects goods before paying.
Never send money via Western Union, Moneygram or bank transfer. Anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.
Never give financial information (bank account number, passport number, PayPal info, etc.) over the phone or by email.
Be highly suspicious of work-at-home schemes. Most of these are scams. After paying a registration fee, you will never hear from them again.
Fake cashiers checks and money orders from overseas are common. Banks cash them and then hold you responsible when the fraud is discovered often weeks or months later.
Overseas pet adoption schemes offers you a free healthy pet that the person cannot take care of. Your only obligation is to pay the cost of transporting the pet from its current location to you and/or customs fees. There is no pet. These ads are scams.
Beware of offers for consumer electronics (e.g. mobile phones) at below-market prices requiring down payments through Western Union, Moneygram or other untraceable services. One4Sale strongly advises against purchasing any mail-order electronics from these ads.
Above all, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. |
